Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio in Nude Eyes

Today I am going to show you the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Trio for Nude Eyes.

These are basic, twist-up eyeliners.  They have a built-in sharpener, if you prefer a very precise line.

Black, Pewter, Champagne

Pewter and Black are two of my favorites of the set, but Champagne is a very wearable, lighter shade.

If you are looking for a long-lasting, affordable eyeliner, you should definitely check these out.  They also come in other colors that are made to compliment brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes, etc.  There should be a set to please everyone.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio in Smokey Eyes

As I mentioned in my September favorites, I have a new favorite eyeliner.   It's the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio.  This set is Smokey Eyes.  I went back and bought the Nude Eyes set this week, so I will be sharing the swatches for that set with you tomorrow. 

 

I was looking for a new eyeliner that would not be smudged under my eyes by the end of the day. This eyeliner has been great.  It stays in place ALL day.  No more rushing home from work to clean up the eyeliner that has made its way under my eyes.  This eyeliner doesn't budge.

The downside... it requires make-up remover to get this eyeliner completely off.  However, I would rather use make-up remover to take it off than look like a raccoon by the end of the day!

I typically use a pencil eyeliner that needs to be sharpened, but I really like these.  They include a built-in sharpener, if you want a very precise line.

Each set comes with 3 eyeliners.  The Smokey Eyes set comes with Black, Charcoal, and Silver.  Black and Charcoal are perfect for my daily eyeliner, but I will rarely use Silver by itself.

As you can see, the liners do have shimmer in them, but I don't really notice it.

These are high-quality eyeliners that stay put all day long, AND they are very affordable. I originally picked them up during a sale at CVS. They were $10.99, plus I received $7 in ExtraBucks to spend on my next purchase.  I went back to purchase the Nude Eyes set this week, because once again, they are $10.99, plus you receive $7 in ExtraBucks when you spend $10 on Physicians Formula cosmetics.  This means they are around $4 after ExtraBucks, which is a great deal for 3 long-lasting eyeliners!

Physicians Formula Pressed Foundation in Translucent Medium - $4

There was a lot of new Revlon items.  I didn't get a picture of the smokey eye pencils.  I think they were $2.80.

Revlon Pure Confection Highlighting Face Powder - $4

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Balm - $2.  I think these were limited edition.  The 3 colors looked pink, orange and glittery blue.  I'm not sure of the actual shade names.

Physicians Formula 3-in-1 Concealer - TRY ME FREE Peelie!

In case I didn't buy enough Physicians Formula concealer at CVS today, I also picked up this Youthful Wear Cosmeceutical Youth-Boosting Concealer at Target today.  

Over the last few weeks, Target has had lots of Buy One Get One Free peelie coupons on their Physicians Formula cosmetics.  Today I notice that this 3-in-1 concealer had a Try Me Free after mail-in-rebate, so I had to pick it up.  In case you can't find the Try Me Free peelie, the actual cost is $8.99.  I got the shade Light + Light. 

 

This is a 3-in-1 product because it has cover cream, a cover stick, and a blend roller ball.

 

The cover cream has a doe-foot applicator.  The packaging states that it can be used on any imperfection and blends easily for lightweight, buildable coverage.  

The packaging says the Light Stick can be used on any imperfection for line-smoothing, fuller coverage. 

Lastly, you are supposed to use the roller to blend out the concealer.

 Here are the swatches.  Light Stick is on the top and Light Cream is on the bottom.

 

Half on right has been blended with the roller (Light Cream on top.  Light Stick on bottom)

 Hmmm... just as I expected.  The roller traps the concealer in the edges, and I think it would be hard to clean out.  I probably won't use it for actual application.  I think the warmth of your fingers does a better job blending out a concealer, but if you don't like to use your hands for make-up application, this might work well for you.

CVS - Physicians Formula Deals 7/1/12-7/3/12

As I'm sure you all know, CVS is currently having an amazing deal on Physicians Formula products.  Now through July 3rd, CVS is offering $7 off on any Physicians Formula cosmetic item with your CVS card.  Added bonus:  if you spend $30 on specially marked items, you get a free $10 gas card!


There were a few items that I wanted to try, but I ended up getting more than I had originally planned... isn't that how it always happened!

 Concealers were the cheapest item, so I decided to pick up a wide variety to try! 
 

I have never tried green concealer, so I got a few different options.  The first is the Concealer Twins in Green/Light.  It's a 2-in-1 Correct & Cover Cream Concealer.  I thought this would be good to keep in my purse.  The retail price was $7.99, so I only paid $.99 for it!  

The second concealer in this picture is the Circle Rx Circle Control Concealer in Natural Light.  The packaging claims that it visibly reduces the appearance of dark circles.  The retail price was $9.99, so I paid $1.99 for it. 

I've been wanting to try the Sonia Kashuk concealer palette, but for $.99, I decided to give this a try first!  This is the Concealer 101 Perfecting Concealer Duo in Green/Light.

Each of these two concealers were $1.99 each.  They are the Conceal Rx concealers in Soft Green and Fair Light.    

The next two items are Wet/Dry Eye Shadow from the Baked Collection.  The first is in Baked Oatmeal, and the second is in Baked Sands.  Although I haven't swatched them, they look exactly the same, except the color on the left.  I probably didn't need both, but Baked Oatmeal was only $1.49 and Baked Sand was $1.99.

I love neutral eye shadows, so of course I had to try the Matte Collection Quad Eye Shadow in Canyon Classics.  It was only $.49!

This last item was the most expensive of my Physicians Formula haul.  It was $3.99, but I had to try it because Kassie (ShadesOfKassie) on YouTube mentioned it in her June 2012 Favorites Video, so I had to pick it up! 

Obviously, this is not a Physicians Formula item, but I picked up the Freeman Facial Clay Mask in Avocado & Oatmeal.  I had a "Try Me Free" mail-in-rebate, so I will get back the $3.99 that I spent on it!

Bottom Line:  I spent $18.65 plus tax, and I will be getting $3.99 back from the Freeman face mask!  Total for 9 Physicians Formula products = $14.66!   Total savings = 64.25!
