Sedona Lace - Free Gift with Purchase of $49.95 or more

If you haven't read my blog post yesterday on the Sedona Lace 7 Piece Midnight Brush Set, you can check it out HERE.
Currently Sedona Lace is offering a free 4 color eyeshadow palette with a travel size Synthetic Blender - EB 13 brush with a purchase of $49.95 or more.  Here is a closer look at the free palette and brush.

A close up of the palette.
Here is the brush.  It is the Synthetic Blender brush that is part of the Vortex Collection.
To compare the size, here is the free travel EB 13 next to my full size EB13 brush.  I would say the EB 13 is one of the eye brushes that gets the most use.  I use it daily, so I'm glad to have a back up.  That also explains why it's dirty...

And the swatches...
Samurai, Brazen, Far-Out, Headliner
Most of the Sedona Lace eyeshadow palettes are on sale right now on their website.  I haven't used these shades yet, but they are highly pigmented.  Sedona Lace offers palettes with huge color selections (most palettes have 120 or 168 colors in them!).

Sedona Lace 7 Piece Midnight Lace Synthetic Brush Set

Today I am going to share with you a product that I am very excited about. This is the 7 Piece Midnight Lace Synthetic Brush Set. It's newest Sedona Lace brush set.
Top to bottom: Synthetic Small Round Dome, Synthetic Small Angle, Synthetic Small Tapered, Synthetic Small Round Flat, Synthetic Small Round, Synthetic Small Angled Flat, Synthetic Small Flat Top
I have owned the Sedona Lace Vortex Collection for several months, and I just love it. Those brushes make a huge difference for me. I had no idea what a difference having the right brushes could make in my make-up application. Overall, I've been very happy with my Sedona Lace brushes. When I saw they had new brushes that resembled the Sigma Precision brushes for less, I had to have them!

I have wanted to purchase the Sigma Precision brush set for a while, but I haven't wanted to spend $59 for 5 brushes. Sedona Lace is a great alternative to Sigma brushes. They offer high quality, affordable brushes. I haven't used their make-up, but I have heard good reviews on YouTube.
The brushes arrived in a blue mesh bag with all 7 brushes and my free gift (more detail on that in tomorrow's post).

Each brush was fully protected.  They had plastic covering the handles and brush covers.

All of these new brushes have Sedona Lace's Midnight Lace colored synthetics bristles. The brushes have pink bristles with dark purple tips and black handles. The tips almost look black. I don't consider myself to be a "pink" kind of girl, but I don't mind the pink bristles. In fact, I think it will make them easier for me to find in of my brush organizer, because they look unique and different.
The first thing I noticed about these brushes is how soft they are! They are dense but very soft so they have some give to them.

Let's look at the individual brushes...

Synthetic Small Flat Top Brush 872 - I think I'll use this to apply concealer to cover blemishes. I am really happy to have a small brush that I can use to stipple concealer in small areas.
Synthetic Small Round Brush 312 - This is the brushes I really wanted for concealer. The rounded shape makes it super easy to blend foundation or concealer around your eyes or nose. Plus, with such soft bristles, they are nice for your delicate eye area. I think I could use this to apply my cream shadows or eye primer, too.
Synthetic Small Tapered Brush 224 - I initially thought I would use this brush for under eye concealer. However, now that I have it, I think it will use it for highlighting the inner corner of my eyes. The shape is perfect to apply highlight with precision. I might also use this to contour around my nose. It would even be good for a cream highlight.
Synthetic Small Angled Flat Brush 618 - I imagine I will use this brush with powder to set my under eye concealer. The shape and size will be perfect to place powder under my eyes.
Synthetic Small Round Flat Brush 847 - I haven't figured out how I will use this brush yet. However, if you apply a liquid contour, this brush would be perfect!
Synthetic Small Angle Brush 773 - This brush would also be good for setting concealer with loose powder.

Synthetic Small Round Dome Brush 217 - I think this brush will be good for contouring and highlighting. It's fluffy enough to blend out powder. I was the least excited about this brush, but I think I will use it more than I thought when I ordered it.

This set is available on the Sedona Lace website for $59.95. If you use the promo code 50FREE, you can get free shipping on orders over $50. Also, they are offering a free 4 color eyeshadow palette with a travel size EB 13 Synthetic Blender brush with orders of $49.95 or more.

Overall, I'm very excited about these brushes. I'm sure I will find many more ways to use them once I try them. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions!

Everyday Minerals Brushes - 35% off sale!

One of my very first posts was on my Everyday Minerals Make-Up Brush Collection.

Right now, Everyday Minerals is having their Summer Brush Event!  All of their brushes are 35% off.

If I had to pick my top two favorites, I would choose:

  1)  Tapered Sculpting Face Brush - On sale for $8.45 (regularly $12.99)

  2)   Eye Kabuki Junior - On sale for $5.20 (regularly $7.99)
Eye Kabuki Brush and Eye Kabuki Junior Brush

For more information on all of the brushes I own, be sure to check out my original post on my Everyday Minerals Make-Up Brush Collection.

Note:  I purchased all of these brushes myself and am in no way affiliated with Everyday Minerals.

Everyday Minerals Brushes

Make-up brushes are one of my weaknesses.  I never feel like I have enough!  I justify it by telling myself that each one is so much different than the next.

Everyday Minerals has some of my favorite brushes.  I haven't found a lot of videos on YouTube that feature the Everyday Minerals brushes, and I am surprised that they are not more popular.

They are 100% cruelty-free brushes made from bamboo.  Their website claims that they are made of the softest synthetic hair ever, and I would have to agree.

I like that the brushes can be purchased individually.  However, if you purchase 3 items, you can buy a Custom Kit and get 25% off!  Very recently, they have added brush sets that include several brushes for a discounted price.

I first purchased brushes from Everyday Minerals when all of their brushes were 40% off.  I have seen that promotion again since then, so I think they have it at least twice a year.  I am signed up to receive their e-mails, so they let me know when they are having a sale or promotion.

Currently for 4th of July, Everyday Minerals is offering a free gift with a purchase of $24 or more.  They have several free make-up items to choose from, or you can get the Eye Kabuki mentioned below by using coupon code Eyekabuki.  That's almost a $9 value!

Here are the brushes that I have purchased.

From top to bottom:  Long Handled Kabuki, Tapered Sculpting Face Brush, Dome Blending Eye Brush, Angled Brow & Liner Brush, Eye Blending Brush, Eye Kabuki Brush, Eye Kabuki Junior

The Tapered Sculpting Face Brush is one of my favorite brushes of all time.  The shape reminds me a little bit of the Real Techniques blush brush.   I use this brush for blush.  It is very soft and the shape is perfect for applying blush to the apples of your cheeks.  It seems to be more dense than the Real Techniques blush brush, which is why I prefer it a little bit more.  Individually, it's sold for $12.99.  (Yes, it still has blush on it in the pictures below!)

The Long Handled Kabuki Brush is nice, but I have barely used it.  I don't use a lot of mineral foundation anymore, so I just haven't used this brush much.  As you'll notice from the picture, it's called a long handled kabuki because the handle isn't the normal "stub" that most kabuki brushes have.  In comparison to the Tapered Sculpting Face Brush, the handle is actually very short.  The bristles are synthetic fibers and are very soft, which seems to make them bend a little too much when applying mineral foundation.  I like the long handle,  but I prefer a kabuki brush that has shorter bristles for more precise application.  However, as I mentioned, I really haven't used it enough to "master" the brush.  This brush is also $12.99.

The next two brushes are a love and a like.  I posted a picture with both brushes so you can see the difference in size.  The top brush is the Eye Kabuki Brush.  I first heard about this brush from Nurberxo's July 2011 Favorites Video on YouTube.  She used the brush for under eye concealer.  It's way too big and dense for me to use as a blending brush.  I like this brush, and I wish I used it more but I just don't.  It's $8.99.

The bottom brush is the Eye Kabuki Junior.  I LOVE this brush.  It's the perfect brush for eye shadow application.  I especially like it for eye shadows that are very powdery, like the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow.  I use it for overall application, and I will probably buy another the next time they are 40% off.  The regular price is $7.99.

Next up are two eye blending brushes.

The Dome Blending Eye Brush is a standard blending brush.  When I first got it, the bristles seemed a bit long, but overall, I like this brush.  It's currently $7.99.

The bottom brush is the Eye Blending Brush.  It has shorter bristles and is an angled brush.  This brush can be used for all over color application and blending.  I tend to use the angle on this brush to blend out the crease.  This brush is also $7.99.

The last brush is another favorite.  It's the Angled Brow & Liner Brush (also $7.99).  As you can see, it's a very soft, short, dense, thin brush.  This is my go-to brow brush.  I use this with powder products to fill in my brows.  I haven't tried it with a gel liner, but I have used it to line my eyes with shadow and it worked great!  When I first got it, I was surprised at how short the bristles were, but as soon as I tried it, I loved it!

Overall, I think these are great brushes for the price.  If you are looking for SOFT, affordable 100% cruelty-free brushes,  you should definitely check out Everyday Minerals.

I guess I should note that I have no connection to Everyday Minerals, and I purchased all of these items with my own money.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
